Sawyer Has A New Home

Matt and I decided that with a baby coming, and the fact that having a dog in a townhome with out a backyard will be and is a little challenging for us. After a few circumstances that happened, my mom, yes the person who has never allowed us to have anything but fish, actually took Sawyer in! She really surprised me, Matt, and my entire family. Sawyer will be happier there because he has a big backyard to play in, and since my mom is home most of the time, he will not have to be put in his kennel so much. There are a lot more people that traffic through their place as well, including us. It has meant so much to me that she would take him. Aaron, my brother was so heart broken at first when we decided that we wouldn't be able to keep him long term. Because my mom wouldn't take him right off, we tried to sell him. So Aaron made this picture to try to make us feel guilty.
It really worked. I can't help but feel sad when I look at it. My mom also saw it, and I wonder if that helped her in her decision. Whatever it was, I'm glad she changed her mind. You can only imagine the joy Aaron experienced when he came home from school this week, saw Sawyer and was so excited to see him. He then commented that he must be just visiting, to which my mom replied that they are actually going to keep him. My mom made a lot of people happy that day. A whole lot of people. Maybe not my brother Jason so much, but everyone else had something to smile about that day. Thanks mom.
